Lightweight frames

Heavy bikes mean harder rides, so a lightweight aluminium frame and overall bike weight of just 14kg helps Apollo Phaze riders to go further for longer. Designed for both strength and rider positioning, the bike frame features a sloping top tube to help the seat to stay lower on fast descents, without being too low for the ride back to the top!

Maintain momentum

When it comes to climbing, gears help riders to transition from the flat to an incline smoothly and without any slowing down. Featuring an 18 speed Shimano gear set, the Halfords Apollo Phaze Mountain Bike allows riders to attack hills without any clunky changes or slipping chains, with Shimano Tourney mechs and Shimaon Revoshift gear shifters helping to give every gear change a premium feel.
 
For consistent stopping power on the way back down, steel V-brakes provide controlled braking even on steep and slippery descents. You’ll also get plenty of grip on uneven surfaces with the 27.5inch x 2.10inch MTB tyres, which sit on durable aluminium wheels.

Comfortable rides

Staying comfortable on bumpy surfaces is important, especially on longer rides, so the Apollo Phaze features front coil suspension to help take some of the energy out of collisions, landings or hard turns. With 60mm of travel, the suspension system will help to take the pressure off your hands and arms even on the toughest trails.
 
Comfort isn’t just about absorbing shocks however, and staying dry will help you to stay out for longer before you get cold.
